Through our partnership with Sol Systems who is a 3rd party SREC aggregate we have negotiated a price for our customers who choose to receive an up front payment for their SREC’s for a period of 10 years to $1,800 per KW. What this means for our customers is that once the system is operational and has been verified by state agencies in terms of output, Sol Systems will purchase your SREC’s from you and pay you an upfront fee for your credits. For example, if you are installing a 4KW system, this means that you will receive a check for approximately $7,200.00 which means the system has paid for itself in most cases the day that it is installed. Sol Systems will still honor the $325 per SREC to customers who decide to not take this option and use the per year approach which is just as attractive in terms of ROI. This offer is currently only available for the Capitol Hill Co-Op members but there is talks regarding expanding to other Co-Ops to help make the financial commitment shorter.
